Snowshoes to Mina Peak, Porté Puymorens

Mina Peak (2681 m) is located in Porté-Puymorens (France) just at the border with Andorra, about 25 minutes from Puigcerdà. Its name is due to some old iron mines located at the bottom of the valley. The Mina peak is easy and suitable to get started on the snowshoes’ world. The views towards the area of Ariège and Andorra are amazing and, on a clear day, it is even possible to see the highest peak of Catalonia, la Pica d’Estats, with it’s 3143 m.

• Season: December to April.
• Activity duration: 5 hours.
• Difficulty: Moderate.
• Route: 10 Km.
• Elevation gain: 700 meters.
• Elevation drop: 700 meters.
• Location: Ski Resort Porté-Puymorens.
• Minimum age: 12 years old (minors have to be accompanied by an adult).
• Material needed by the client: Hiking boots, backpack of 25 or 30 liters, warm clothes, hat, buff, gloves, sunglasses, snow goggles, sunscreen, food and water for the activity.
