Snowshoes + Igloo Building

The Snowshoes more Igloo Building starts its walk at the Ski Resort Vallter 2000, but we do not step on it; instead we walk towards Ull de Ter shelter. We head for the shelter next to a stream and once there, we continue until suitable location for building our igloo (this will take a 1-hour walk approximately). We will construct this igloo by using buried backpacks where the snow has been compacted. The result will be a cavity which can help us if we never have to sleep in the mountain: we will be protected from the wind and the inside temperature is always about 0 ºC.

It is an excellent family activity. The young ones will really enjoy playing to build an igloo.

• Minimum age: 7 years old (minors have to be accompanied by an adult).
• Material needed by the client:  Hiking boots, backpack of 25 or 30 liters, warm clothes, hat, buff, gloves, sunglasses, snow goggles, sunscreen, food and water for the activity.
