The aim of an orienteering race is to find the maximum number of correct orientation beacon in the shortest possible time.
Welcome to the group and breakfast with "coca (typical sweet bread)" from Hostalets d'en Bas oven. Briefing of the activity and division of the group into teams. Once we have the groups done, there will be an explanation of how it works and how to read the map that we will have to use during the orientation circuit (map and compass).

Departures are staggered and each time a team goes out, they are given a map and compass. Each team will have a map with different points marked on the same map. Once you reach each point marked on the map, you will find a orientation beacon. There are trap orientation beacon, so you have to pay attention to which orientation beacon is marked on the map. These orientation beacon carry a staple that will have to be marked on the map, so that you can check that the correct orientation beacon has been found.
The team that correctly finds the largest number of orientation beacon and does so in the shortest possible time wins. The winning team will receive a small gift.
The route is about 6-7 km and quite flat all the time. Therefore, between the briefing and the tour is about 3 hours. Even so, we can adapt it depending on the time you have.
Preferably, at the Hostalets d'en Bas, in la Garrotxa, where we set up a very beautiful circuit between rivers, fountains (natural springs) and lots of nature, in a picture-postcard town.
But we also have other circuits such as the orienteering race between volcanoes, which we also do in Garrotxa and which is really nice.
However, since the circuits are mobile, we can do other circuit in other places, just ask.
Hiking boots or sportive trainers, comfortable clothes, backpack with water and something snack (fruit, nuts, energy bars,...).
Ideal autumn, winter and spring. But it can also be done in the summer. It is an ideal activity for the whole year.
