The Núria Integral Canyon is the star canyon of Catalonia, and we could say it ranks within the top 5 canyons of the entire Pyrenees, including the Catalan Pyrenees, French, Aragonese, Navarrese, and Basque Pyrenees.
Located between Queralbs and Vall de Núria (Ripollès), in the heart of the Eastern Pyrenees, with many unique jumps and slides, some over 10 meters, and rappels up to 20 meters, it is a very technical canyon!!!
Undoubtedly the most spectacular canyon in the Pyrenees!!! It is a canyon beautifully sculpted by water, featuring narrow and very technical sections.
The canyon can be divided into two parts:
The first part is where we find the narrowest and coldest section of the canyon, but it’s also where we'll truly enjoy the slides and jumps. We start at a dam and immediately encounter a small technical jump, followed by a 3-meter slide that is just a preview of what’s to come: a 6-meter slide followed by a 16-meter slide that will give us an adrenaline rush. After this, we have a short break before the grand finale of the first section: a 10-meter rappel down the middle of a waterfall, then a short walk to reach the last slide. Just by its name, you can imagine how you enter the water, the Formula 1 slide, an impressive 17-meter slide. Once done, and if we still want to release more adrenaline, we head to the bridge of the Tailor's Jump, a 12-meter jump that marks the end of the first part of the canyon.
We move to the second part, where we have to walk about 10 minutes along the riverbank before re-entering at the next bridge, the Cremal Bridge. Here begins the second part, a calmer section where we will use the rope more, but it still includes a bit of everything: jumps, slides, and several rappels. We start with a small 3-meter jump and immediately go for the Wave Rappel, a 20-meter rappel through the middle of the water, very aesthetic. A couple more rappels lead us to a handrail where we can choose between an 8-meter jump or slide, from here we head to one of the most spectacular and beautiful parts of this canyon, an aerial via ferrata located midway through the canyon, which leads to a hanging rappel installation where we will make a spectacular 15-meter free-hanging rappel with the incredible view of the waterfall in front of us. Finally, we have the option of a 6-meter jump or slide, and here we can conclude the descent of this spectacular canyon.
