Climbing guide in Montserrat

Montserrat is one of the most emblematic areas of Catalonia for climbing, its formations and the multiple spiers to climb them have made it a must-see for any climber. Its unique conglomerate makes climbing totally different from what we are used to, hence the famous phrase "who climbs well in Montserrat, climbs well everywhere".

Here we propose some examples of guided tours through the magical mountain of Montserrat.

Initiation level to the multi pitch climbing

Aimed at people who want to start the multi pitch.

The minimum requirement we ask is that the person climbs the grade IV+ climbing of second.

• Via del Carles al Gorro Frigi (150 meters - Difficulty V+)

• Via Sargantanes a la Gorra Marinera (160 meters - Difficulty IV+)

• Via Sol Solet + Aresta Brucs (225 meters - Difficulty IV+)

• Via Escabroni Escapullini + Aresta Brucs (225 meters - Difficulty V)

• Via Lapónia to the Roca Gran de la Portella (150 meters - Difficulty V+/Ae)

Intermediate level to the multi pitch climbing

Aimed at people who have done several long routes before and want to do routes of a higher difficulty, degree of commitment and degree of exposure.

The minimum requirement we ask is that the person climbs the grade V+ climbing of second.

• Via Ven Suri Ven or Cerdà Riera in La Bandereta (130 meters 6a)

• Via Opera Prima al Gorro Phrygi (150 meters 6a)

• Via 98 Octans in Magdalena Superior (140 meters 6a)

Prices

• 2 people 185 €/person

• Season: All year.
• Location: Montserrat (Bàges).
• Minimum age: 18 years.
• Material to be carried by the customer: Sportive trainers or approach boots, climbing shoes, harness, helmet, personal anchor (petzl adjust or multichain type), belay device for 2 ropes, 2 HMS carabiners, prusik loops, 35 liter rucksack , mountain sports clothing, windbreaker, gloves, buff, hat, water (2 liters) and food for the long day.
• Meeting time: 8:00 AM.
• Meeting point: To be specified depending on the area of Montserrat where we are going to climb.

*If you have your own climbing shoes, that’s even better.

The price includes: VAT, Certified guide, Individual equipment (harness, helmet, climbing shoes, personal anchor system, belay device, prusik cords), Group safety equipment (ropes, slings, carabiners, quickdraws, cams…), Civil liability and accident insurance

The price does not include: Transport to the activity area, meals.
